Keukenhof, The Netherlands
Cultivating the perfect formation
In terms of the number of visitors per day, Keukenhof is the most popular tourist attraction in the Netherlands. In its first season, the new entrance building from Mecanoo has welcomed well over one milion people.
Located in Lisse in the Netherlands, Keukenhof registered 1.4 million visitors in 2017 - a new record. These figures are all the more impressive when you take into account that the "world's most beautiful spring park" is only open for eight weeks of the year while the tulips are in bloom - from the end of March to May.
A challenging roof structure
The new entrance area consists of two buildings, in which the cash desks, a restaurant, various shops and offices as well as the sanitary facilities are located. Particularly striking is the expansive wooden rood that covers both building and the zone in between them. Following a construction period of just on year, the entrance area was ready for the hordes of visitors and - thanks to the Geberit roof drainage system - also for any heavy rain showers.
Geberit has been setting standards for roof drainage for decades with the Geberit Pluvia syphonic roof drainage system.
With Geberit Pluvia:
- Fewer roof outlets are required due to high discharge rate
- There is an increased planning flexibility by saving on stacks
- Maximum use of space due to horizontal pipelines without slopes
Sophisticated details, high-quality system components and Geberit as your partner reliably ensure safety, durability and smooth operation.
