What was your path to Geberit?

I knew about Geberit a few years prior to joining the business, especially for their Geberit Aquaclean Shower Toilet and their Piping products. I’ve always worked in Marketing for a number of years in various sectors, I had previously worked in a Builders Merchants in East London in Marketing then moved over to Occupational Health as a Marketing and Communications Executive.

What are the roles you’ve held at Geberit?

My current role is Marketing Executive supporting the Trade Merchants Sector, within the Marketing Team reporting to the Marketing Manager Sophie Weston.

What's your team dynamic like?

The Team are great and support when there are big Campaigns and Events. It is always good to bounce ideas off each other.

How would you describe your time here so far?

I feel that Geberit is a great company to work for, there is always something new and something to learn from the latest Product ranges and updates in the state of the art Showroom and Training Academy.

What do you enjoy most about your role here?

There are several different things such as planning and organising the Events and Exhibitions that we do at various scales, from Trade Mornings at some of the Merchant partners up to the larger Events such as the Installer Show at the NEC.

What's the best thing you have achieved here?

I feel that I have achieved more Product Knowledge especially in our Concealed Cisterns and Frames as there is a vast Product range there is always something new to learn.

What are the big opportunities ahead for you and your team?

There are always opportunities to grow our Digital Marketing side and build more from Social Media Marketing and supporting with the Sales Teams in the different channels.

What lessons have you learned along the way?

One bit of advice is to get everything in writing, this is important when dealing with multiple streams of people when working on various projects. It allows you to double and even triple check what was initially said making things more streamlined and efficient.

What would you say to someone who’s not sure if they should apply to Geberit?

All colleagues are friendly, also the culture is great. There is an abundance of what the company does to get internal and external colleagues together such as the Merit Awards and around the Christmas period, this is a nice way of meeting and socialising with others.

What’s the one piece of advice you could offer to job seekers looking to join your team?

Try and learn the Jargon and acronyms.
