How is the Geberit Home App different to the Geberit AquaClean App?
The Geberit Home App brings together all of Geberit’s applications in a single app. The user guidance has been optimised with large, clear tiles and is characterised by its intuitive operation.
What are the benefits of the Geberit Home App?
The Geberit Home App helps you to take the first few steps with your Geberit AquaClean shower toilet. It makes it easy to register your device so you can benefit from an extended warranty period. The app also provides helpful information about device care and maintenance.
Which functions can I carry out for my Geberit AquaClean using the Geberit Home App?
- Control your Geberit AquaClean shower toilet remotely
- Set a personal profile
- Configure basic settings

- Execute maintenance work (e.g. descaling or filter replacement)

I already have the Geberit AquaClean App installed on my device. Can I keep using it?
We recommend switching to the Geberit Home App. There will only be one app in the future and the Geberit AquaClean App will no longer be supported.
How do I connect my Geberit AquaClean to the Geberit Home App?
The connection is established via the Bluetooth® function (BLE, Bluetooth® Low Energy). Activate the Bluetooth® function on your smartphone and then activate location sharing. The app will guide you through the rest of the steps.
Why can I not connect my Geberit AquaClean to the Geberit Home App?
If you have a Geberit AquaClean Mera Comfort, it might be because you have an old firmware version (version 11.0 or earlier). If this is the case, Geberit recommends updating your firmware via the Geberit AquaClean App. Once you have successfully updated the firmware, you will be able to use the Geberit Home App and connect your device.
Why do I have to activate location sharing in order to use the Geberit Home App?
In the case of Android devices, Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) is connected to the location services. This is because of beacons (technology from Google based on BLE). This means that location sharing has to be activated on every Android device in order to use an app whose components work with BLE. Geberit does not use location sharing.
Where can I download the Geberit Home App?
The Geberit Home App is available for Android and iOS smartphones in the relevant app store.
Which software version do I need on my smartphone in order to install the Geberit Home App?
The following system prerequisites apply for the respective smartphones:
- Android: Version 5.0 or above
- iOS: Version 11.0 or above
How does Geberit ensure security and data protection?
Geberit apps and IoT services are developed and operated to high security standards. In addition, inspections are carried out at regular intervals by external, independent cyber security specialists.
