Telephone recording privacy notice

Geberit Sales Ltd is responsible for this service.

Why we process your information

For customer interactions via telephone, some telephone conversations may be recorded for legitimate reasons for the detection of fraud, order discrepancies, quality, and training purposes. The auto attendant will inform you of this before the start of the conversation. As a general rule, the legal basis for processing your data in these cases is point (a) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR. If the legal system of a European member state provides for express consent, the legal basis is point (f) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR.

We do this in the interests of offering a good service to our customers.

Sometimes, calls may not be recorded if:

  • There’s a technical fault with the telephone system
  • A call handler is using equipment which does not let calls be recorded
  • You’ve been transferred to a different line, or called a direct line

How long we keep your call recording

We delete call recordings up to 90 days after the call was made. This ensures that any subsequent investigations can be completed.

Your rights

The information you provided will be managed as required by Data Protection law.

You have the right to receive a copy of the call recording, and you also have the right to request that the call recording to deleted if you believe we are holding it for longer than necessary.
