Geberit switched on to festive fun
12th December 2018
The countdown to Christmas officially began on Thursday 29th November, when the Christmas lights were switched on at Warwick’s annual Victorian Evening.
The festivities took over the town centre, as visitors enjoyed live entertainment hosted by Touch FM’s Ollie and Kirsty. The town was buzzing with traditional Victorian attractions, including a steam-powered carousel, Victorian Ferris wheel and fire spinners. The stage on market place played host to several show stopping performances, including the Hannah Claire Dance School and Stagecoach Performing Arts.
At 7pm, Father Christmas joined the Mayor of Warwick on stage to switch on the lights before Belles of Three Spires and St Mary’s Choir lit up the stage with festive musical performances.
Geberit, the high-end bathroom manufacturer, sponsored the event, and has been committed to the region since moving its UK headquarters from Kent in 2008, employing 80 office staff and 120 sales staff.
Tina Coxon, Head of Human Resources at Geberit said: “We’re proud to have marked the start of the festive season, along with Father Christmas himself and the rest of the town. We’re grateful to be based in such a fantastic area, and we wanted to show our appreciation for the local community by helping everyone get into the Christmas spirit!”
