The building and plumbing trades are constantly under scrutiny and it is vital that quality and trained professionalism shines through - and it does - through knowledge.
Geberit offer a variety of courses at its head office in Aylesford. The courses are very much hands-on so that the trainees leave with precious practical knowledge as well as theoretical knowledge. The Training Centre at Aylesford with working training units combined with the Geberit Showroom which features a unique hydraulic tower all form part of Geberit’s commitment to the building industry through best practice training and are a perfect combination to teach new skills, learn about new products, practices and regulations.
The much talked about centre piece of the showroom is Geberit’s unique Hydraulic Tower, the only one in the UK, which includes the complete range of Geberit products from floor to ceiling. All products are fully working, with a network of clear pipes to illustrate Geberit’s ‘Water in, Water out’ philosophy. Starting with Geberit Pluvia syphonic roof drainage system, water enters the system from above and flows through HDPE and Mepla pipework and fittings, through Geberit Duofix and through Geberit Electronic Urinal Flushing and Taps, exiting through Geberit HDPE.
The tower demonstrates how the Geberit product range provides the complete plumbing solution, allowing water to flow into, through and out of a building. Advanced plumbing technology is the basis for the manufacture and development of all Geberit products, ensuring an efficient and practical alternative to many traditional building and plumbing installation techniques.
Training courses at Aylesfod include Innovative Plumbing Solutions – behind the wall frames, infra-red in the washroom & flushing technology, Frame System Sanitary installation, Innovative Pipework Systems, Potable Water Supply, Drainage Design and Syphonic Drainage.
Courses are aimed at all types of people with varying levels of knowledge including Architects, Interior Designers, Bathroom Designers, Contractors, Installers and Public Health Engineers.
Geberit also offer four CPD courses, which can be taken at the Aylesford head office or at the architectural practice by the area representative. The Geberit CPD courses are:- Drainage Design, Syphonic Drainage, Water Regulations and the latest approved course which is Innovative Pipework Solutions for Water Supply and Drainage.
All architects who are members of RIBA are required to accumulate 35 points throughout each year in order to show that they are keeping up to date with new practices, materials, regulations and services. Each CPD course has a points value allocated and they count towards the 35 point requirement.
