The popular trend for vessel style basins has led Geberit to rethink the aesthetic appeal of bottle traps. The bottle trap, traditionally hidden away behind a pedestal or a furniture unit, has increasingly become more visible and although chrome style options have been available for some time, the designs have lacked that 'designer' touch - until now.

Geberit has designed new washbasin traps mixing square and round profiles to complement the sanitaryware styles popular today. They meet with approval of the Geberit Specialist Retailers who have welcomed the designs. The washbasin traps have a new innovative self-cleaning feature with channels in the trap that concentrate the flow and increase the water speed, automatically cleaning the trap as the water flows through. The vertical pipe is telescopic and the horizontal pipe is easy to cut in order to fit any washbasin installation.

There are two new shallow height shower tray traps – a 52mm and a 90mm version. The latter is designed for use with trays with recessed wastes and has a cap at tray height and top access to the waste making it easy to clean. It has a large capacity which is excellent for use with a power shower.

Completing the wastes range are new bath pop up wastes and traps. They feature low height seals which mean no need to cut floorboards and have been designed to be especially easy to fit. The new waste and traps are marked to assist in measurement and cutting and are forgiving so installers can fit and forget without fear of leakages after settling.

In addition to the combined bath pop up waste and overflow there is an extended version for large baths and a combined bath filler, waste and overflow for use with separate mixer fittings.

All the new pop up wastes feature high quality, heavy duty cabling for smooth operation and long life as well as adaptors supplied in the packs, to convert from metric to imperial sizes.
