Mark Larden, Managing Director for Geberit Sales UK & Ireland
Before Geberit, I spent 16 years in the UK Bathroom Industry working for market leading brands such as Armitage Shanks and Ideal Standard. My career has always been within Sales and Marketing and my last position before joining Geberit was Head of Marketing for the Armitage Shanks brand.
I joined Geberit in May 2000, around 18 months after the Group had just acquired the Terrain PVC drainage business from the Caradon Group. Having been within the Sanitary business, I was aware of the Geberit Brand and their range of innovative and high quality products. The main reason for joining Geberit was that I wanted to be a part of their plan to establish the Geberit brand and their innovative range of products in the UK and Ireland market
My first role was to lead a project to launch the Geberit products into the UK market and in 2003 I was asked to join the Management team as Director of Marketing. Later in 2005, I was then asked to lead the Sales team for the UK and Ireland. Geberit as a company is very forward thinking and I have been very lucky to work with some great people both here in the UK and in the Geberit Group.
We spend a lot of time at work during our lifetime and its very important that you enjoy what you do and the people that you work with. Geberit has enabled me to develop as a person and has given me many new opportunities. In 2008, I was very lucky to be asked to become the Managing Director of the UK and Ireland, which is my current postion at Geberit. Together with a fantastic team of people we are doing some great things in the UK & Ireland and helping Geberit to become a leading brand in the Sanitary marketplace.
