Finance and Controlling's areas of responsibility are primarily to numerically track the activities of the local Geberit companies and the Group itself, to evaluate these and to prepare them for detailed reporting. This has the double effect of both fulfilling statutory and regulatory requirements and providing Management with business analysis as a basis for making decisions.
Our department is represented in 41 countries and employs around 190 individuals worldwide. The assigned tasks are divided into two areas: Accounting presents the financial situation of the company to the outside world and is essentially comprised of bookkeeping, inventory and preparing the financial statement. Controlling is involved in planning, monitoring and coordination of company performance with respect to the maximisation of company results. The information thus calculated is used as the basis for management decisions. In addition to standard business activities, our department also works on various projects, such as "SAP – New general ledger", a new sales planning tool for plants or a new controlling system for sales-side growth initiatives.
Our employees have a variety of educational backgrounds - Swiss federally-certified experts in accounting and controlling, specialists in finance and accounting and graduates in business administration. First and foremost, besides the relevant professional qualifications, we also expect commitment and the capacity for enthusiasm for the diverse challenges that we face on a daily basis.
